Achieving conservation goals requires sustained and increased support and funding for existing public land conservation programs, increased private sector investment and capacity, and other new sources of conservation financing. All of these depend upon a supportive public, interested landowners, dedicated conservationists, and committed public officials.
The Chesapeake Conservation Partnership and the Appalachian Trail Landscape Partnership are collaborating on development of a communications and messaging strategy and framework. This will support both the partnerships and their members in building and sustaining support for land conservation in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. This is a new initiative; stay tuned for more details!
