The National Park Service Chesapeake Bay and the Chesapeake Conservation Partnership invite you to listen in on a candid conversation among a diverse group of six distinguished professionals working at the intersection of public health, equity, and conservation. We will explore the issues and urgency of solving deep inequities in public health and access to nature and the ways conservationists can and should help.
The session — on Monday, October 5 from Noon to 1:30 PM — is part of the powerful ongoing series of We Need to Talk conversations sponsored by NPS Chesapeake Bay that began in June. This particular session is intended to support the Chesapeake Conservation Partnership’s exploration of a new public health goal (see below).
We think you will find this conversation stimulating, thoughtful, and well worth your time to listen in. Registration is limited, so we encourage you to sign up now at the link below!

Also: Weigh in on the Draft Public Health Goal
In our last Lightning Update we shared the text of the Partnership’s new draft public health goal and asked for your feedback. Some of you have already had a chance to provide that. For those who haven’t, we still want to hear from you!
Please, take a few moments to provide us with your thoughts and improvements on this draft. Click on the box below to see the draft text and provide your insights. Thanks!
Don’t forget to send us your 2020 land conservation success stories as they develop. They’ll land in the new and growing collection at success.chesapeakeconservation.org, a tool we can all use to show collective impact. See the checklist below for easy-to-follow, simple guidelines.
