Mapping & Analysis

In 2012 the Partnership formed a “Conservation Goals & LandScope Mapping Team” of GIS experts from partner organizations to facilitate collaborative mapping and analysis. Convened by NatureServe, the team’s work supports the Partnership’s understanding and advancement of conservation in the Chesapeake watershed.

The Partnership takes an iterative approach to its mapping. We recognize mapping and analysis are continually improving as new data and technology become available. To move our work forward, we use the best data available to produce reliable, useful mapped information at a particular time. As data improves or new information becomes available we produce the next generation of the maps and analysis.
